Flexible cystoscope (Olympus)
This endoscope is used to examine the urethra and bladder retrogradely from the urethral orifice. It is useful for diagnosing bladder cancer, bladder stones, urethral strictures, and other conditions. Compared to rigid cystoscopes, the insertion part is softer, allowing for smooth insertion along the course of the urethra. It can significantly reduce the pain and bleeding during examinations, which are often felt particularly strongly by men.
Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripter (Direx Japan)
ESWL crushes kidney and ureteral stones to a size that they can be easily removed from the body. We perform Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL) with the latest equipment on about 100 patients per year.
Diagnostic Ultrasound System (Hitachi, Ltd.)
It is an indispensable device for the diagnosis of prostate diseases such as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and prostate cancer. It is also used to diagnose diseases of the abdominal organs such as kidneys, ureters, and bladder, and urinary tract stones. The device installed in the clinic is a highly functional device equipped with a color Doppler function that can display the flow of blood in color, and has high diagnostic accuracy. Ultrasonography, a representative non-invasive examination, is one of the fields in which we specialize most, and is indispensable for "human-friendly medicine.
X-ray CT Scanner (TOSHIBA)
16-slice multidetector CT provides not only high accuracy and image quality but also significantly contributes to reducing patient exposure to radiation and shortening scan times compared to conventional models.
CR (Fuji Film)
Imaging plates (IP) are used instead of screens/film as the detection medium for X-ray images, and the X-ray image information stored in the IP is digitized. The digitalization process enables the provision of images of consistently stable quality, and improves diagnostic accuracy through image processing effects according to the site and purpose of use.
